The 7th Annual Candlelight Vigil

The Annual Candlelight Vigil Against Homophobia and Bullying seeks to bring awareness to the detrimental effects of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and bullying in general. We welcome speakers from all walks of life to say a few words about how bullying has impacted their life, or life of someone they know. We take an moment to honour all those who have lost their lives as a result of suicide.

There will be an opportunity to sign up for Bringing in the Bystander Training which "uses a community of responsibility model to teach bystanders how to intervene safely and effectively in cases where sexual assault may be occurring or where there may be risk. Its main message is that “Everyone in the community has a role to play in ending sexual violence.” This prevention program emphasizes a bystander intervention approach."

We are in the works to be able to screen Fire Song after the Vigil:
